This organization was started by O.C. Cash in 1932 as an effort to encourage and preserve the Barbershop style of a cappella music.

The SouthWestern District is a Member District in good standing with the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Sweet Adelines International
Sweet Adelines International is the sister organization to the Barbershop Harmony Society. They are a worldwide organization of 30,000 women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performances.
